Eliminate stress and anxiety with this 45 minute restorative yoga class with Shanna Breton. Shanna's Restorative Yoga class is focused on easing and supporting the nervous system and settling the mind, while relaxing into the stretch. It is suitable for all levels of experience. Restorative Yoga uses fewer poses, mostly floor work, and prolonged holding – about 3 to 5 minutes each. Focusing on calming, gentle stretching, and heart-opening postures, this class allows us to settle softly into the pose and will guide us toward bringing compassionate awareness to the body. Bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, and props are used and supplied within the studio.
Following yoga, Lauren Breau of L/A Community Acupuncture for will offer acupuncture to each individual while in a comfortable relaxed position. Acupuncture can be specifically helpful for individuals with stress, mood, anxiety and depression. Thin sterile needles will be placed in specific points from the elbows to the hands and the knees to the feet.
