At The Sanctuary, we provide a serene and positive community atmosphere where you can begin or deepen your yoga practice. Our classes are led by trained and experienced teachers who are passionate about guiding sequences that offer individual growth. We believe that stillness in motion creates a meditative effect, resulting in a more balanced body and mind.

Shanna Breton, RYT 500, E-RYT 200, Reflexologist, Bodyworker, Owner

Shanna obtained her 500 hour yoga certification as well as her Thai bodywork training through Shiva Shakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts. She also studied Thai bodywork in Ko Phangan, Thailand where she trained in Aerial Yoga. In 2015, she completed foot and hand reflexology certification through the International Institute of Reflexology. She believes that balance and overall well being comes from self-care and stepping away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Shanna practices thoughtful and gentle alignment based Hatha yoga, aerial yoga, restorative yoga, restorative aerial yoga and yin yoga -with emphasis on pranayama (breath control) within her teaching. Some of her favorite unique class offerings integrate reflexology and Thai bodywork within her restorative classes. She teaches from the heart and believes the practice of yoga, pranayama and meditation can promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. She believes that yoga is suitable for all beings and is passionate to share as she continues her own yoga journey. She created a calming sanctuary to offer various styles of yoga and wellness services in her community.

Off the mat, Shanna enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, stillness at the ocean and her other passion, interior design.

Ree Russell, CYT 200

Ree is an experienced yoga and meditation teacher who believes in the therapeutic and transformative power of slowing down and focusing on what truly matters to oneself.

As an introvert with an extroverted personality, Ree practices both yoga and yin meditation to find balance between these dualities and the demands of a busy modern life.

Ree received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in May 2016, and 50-hour Yin Meditation certification in March 2020.




Josslyn Jalbert, RYT 200, Reiki II Practitioner

Josslyn teaches inspirational alignment based Hatha yoga. She is passionate about sharing the practice of yoga and meditation to achieve higher levels of inner connectedness, She enjoys guiding students through the physical practice of yoga as well as the inward journey of self-reflection. Josslyn believes that through this practice, one can strengthen their mind and body, yielding greater self-compassion, acceptance, and patience. She values the opportunity to be of service, and graciously meets her students where they are at when they arrive on their mat. Students can expect to be empowered, safe, and guided to explore their own creativity in her classes.

 
 

Kasey Scholl CYT 200, CAYT 250, Reiki Practitioner

In 2019, Kasey obtained her 200 hour yoga certification in Rishikesh India and later completed a 250 hour aerial yoga certification. She has a background in massage therapy and Reiki. She has a deep connection to understanding body movement and mechanics and enjoys helping others become more comfortable in their own bodies.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, kayaking, spending time in nature, nurturing her houseplant collection and spending time with her husband and 3 kittens.

Susannah Johnson, LMT, Astrology Enthusiast

Susannah studied Swedish massage at the Downeast School of Massage, in Maine, graduating in 2002. Her focus is Ethereal Massage, working with the layers of energy that affect our physical bodies. Susannah embraces the opportunity to assist and facilitate clients in their own healing journey. She practices polarity therapy, essential oil massage, cupping and steam towel massage. She continues to study, and thoroughly enjoys offering mini astrology chart readings.
